It is currently 4:50 am. The sun is just starting to rise, and I woke up like twenty minutes ago. What’s weird is that I just opened my eyes all of a sudden and just woke up in bed. I don’t feel sleepy, nor do I feel like going back to bed. So I just decided to start the day there.

I checked my emails, my social media, all the usual no-brainers during this time. Twitter was weird, cause I saw a lot of tweets from other people — that I know of, and don’t know of — saying that they also woke up this morning feeling energized, and had zero percent chance of going back to sleep. I had a lot of new matches too, making their first waves and apologizing for being too early in the chat.

I assumed that it’s probably just coincidence that a lot of people suddenly woke up around the same time. But when I started chatting up some of my matches, they said that they just woke up today at 4:30 am, and they couldn’t go back to sleep. Some didn’t even get any sleep, and when the clock struck 4:30 am, they just suddenly felt this jolt of energy, like their bodies just decided to stay active the whole way through their all-nighters, or whatever the reason is for them not sleeping.

This is probably the right time to say that I also have been experiencing a lot of insomnia lately. I most definitely go to sleep in the wee hours, and never go sleeping during nine to twelve.

I’m still living with my parents, and when I went downstairs, they were also awake. They asked me, and I asked them back. We were all awake starting from 4:30 am, and none of us could get back to sleep.

A few hours into the day, I decided to waste it by writing a fresh new chapter on this story that I’m writing. I figured, since I have all this energy, why not spend it on doing some hard work for a change? And so I did, and came up with a ton of chapters and new ideas. Mind you, this is what I came up with even without thinking of drinking coffee to wake up my senses.

At around 9:30 am, that’s when I started to feel sleepy again. That in itself is considered normal. But when everyone else is experiencing the same thing at the same time, that’s when you start to get curious.

After I took a quick nap, it was 10:30 am on the clock, and I went on with my day.

Adding to the weirdness of things, I slept at around 9:30 pm. Exactly that time. If I told you that I was in no way sleepy, and just found myself sleeping and then waking up at around 4:30 in the morning the next day, would you believe me?

Would you believe everybody, who apparently also woke up around the same time?
